Domaine Bernard

The BERNARD family is an old Burgundian family. Bernard companion buys in 1918 the "Clos Bizoutte" renamed "the Herbues". The winery is provided by Philippe and Martine Bernard and three permanent employees. Training oenologist, president of the Union of winemakers of Fixin, Philippe Bernard conducts winemaking without artifice that highlights the quality of the soil.

Covering an area of 18 ha pinot noir grapes, Chardonnay and Aligoté for about 60,000 bottles / year, cultivation method used is traditional: winter plowing, control of yields, manual harvesting and sorting in the vineyard.

Aging in oak barrels lasts 12 to 18 months (up to 30% new oak depending on the vintage and terroir).
